About this Role:
We’re hiring a Worship Pastor at North Haven Church. We’re not looking to fill a position but rather looking for the right person called to come alongside the vision and mission of building God’s kingdom at North Haven Church, within the city of Raleigh, and across the globe. This position is full-time with benefits and involves the full sphere of worship and media. We are a growing Spirit-filled, multigenerational, and multiethnic church with a long history of impacting north Raleigh.

Our fellowship has roots in Azusa Street, the Assembly of God, and many other denominations. We are located in beautiful Raleigh, NC, the “City of Oaks” (always in the top 5 best cities to live in America). Raleigh is nestled about 2 hours from either the beach or mountains and boasts world-class cultural events, the arts, parks, and a plethora of nature trails for recreation. From technology to medicine to education Raleigh is unparalleled with 3 ACC research universities and a whole host of other colleges all within 45 minutes of North Haven Church.

The role of the Worship Pastor is to lead all aspects of the worship life within North Haven Church, developing volunteer worship leaders by envisioning, equipping, and mobilizing their diverse musical talents and creative artistic expressions. Each week the Worship Pastor leads people to engage in authentic worship encounters with God through music and the arts, developing worshipers at every age and stage—including children, teens, college students, and adults—in the context of multi-generational traditional and contemporary services, (in-person and livestream).

Therefore, a good candidate should be able to lead contemporary music, lead a band (including brass) and vocalists well, play an instrument, have prior knowledge of using worship technology (audio, video, and lights), and be able to engage the congregation by leading them through worship encounters.

The Worship Pastor’s role also requires other skill sets/types of experience (i.e., media, production, lighting, design, etc.). This position could be an excellent opportunity for a worship leader looking to get their foot in the door or a career move for someone with more experience—there is lots of flexibility in how the job is built.

We own our buildings and have facilities for our children, for our youth, and a gym (complete with a rock-climbing wall). We have an amazing Child Development Center with over a hundred kids and twenty-five workers. Each month we utilize an army of volunteers to help us process about 25,000 pounds of food that gets distributed on the third Saturday, Community Day. A lot of work has gone into getting us ready for this next growth stage.
