Description :

Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church is a growing and vibrant congregation of the Presbyterian Church in
America (PCA) located in Spring, Texas. We are biblically, theologically, and culturally conservative and have
approximately 225 weekly worshippers at this time. Our church is seeking our next Director of Music who will lead the music ministries of our church as we continue in this season of growth.
Our church is committed to a blended musical style that incorporates elements of traditional hymns with
modern instrumentation with theologically robust modern hymnody and praise songs. To that end our
services regularly include contemporary praise team, piano, and organ. Additionally, many Sundays each year our service also includes a small but skilled choir of approximately 12-16 participants.
When it comes to our musical orientation, our desire is to remain connected to the great body of musical and lyrical expressions of devotion to God in worship developed by the Body of Christ over the centuries, while acknowledging that as a branch of the living Body, our church exists in the present day and that the modern church too has beneficial musical offerings to present to God in worship. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged first to learn more about our church by visiting our website at: www.springcypresschurch.com.
