GraceLife is the English Ministry of Church Everyday. We are located in Northridge, CA. We want to lead people in experiencing the fullness of life through the grace of Christ (John 10:10). GraceLife’s distinctiveness is our love for God and our love for people. We want to see the San Fernando Valley revitalized and transformed by engaging the city with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to help people Connect Relationally – Grow Spiritually – Be Supported Emotionally. We have two Sunday services (9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.), with an adult congregation of approximately 100 to 120 people. We are one of the few growing Asian American churches in the San Fernando Valley and looking to grow as we add new staff members. We have a thriving kids and youth ministry. There is a strong foundation in place for our next Worship/Associate Pastor to join our team and enjoy a very fruitful ministry.

Job Summary:
This position is for a Worship Leader/Pastor with the primary responsibility of leading and overseeing the Worship Ministry. The Worship Leader/Pastor will lead and oversee all aspects of the worship ministry to create an engaging, authentic, and Spirit-led worship experience. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing worship services, developing the worship team, and fostering a culture of worship within the church community. The Worship Pastor will also work closely with church leadership to align worship services with the church’s vision and mission. In addition to leading the worship ministry, the Associate Pastor will provide support for other ministries and church functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Worship Leadership:
- Plan and lead weekly worship services, including Sunday services, special events, and seasonal programs.
- Select songs, Scripture readings, and other creative elements to align with the sermon series and church vision.
- Ensure worship services are Christ-centered, biblically grounded, and culturally relevant.
- Team Development:

- Recruit, train, and mentor musicians, vocalists, and tech team members.
- Foster a culture of excellence, humility, and spiritual growth within the worship team.
- Schedule and lead regular rehearsals to prepare for services and develop team skills.
- Service Planning and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and other staff members to align worship with the overall church vision.
- Participate in creative planning meetings to design meaningful worship experiences.
- Coordinate with the production team for seamless execution of services (lighting, sound, visuals, etc.).
- Pastoral Care:

- Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to worship team members and the congregation, as needed.
- Model a lifestyle of worship and a commitment to personal spiritual growth.
- Administration:

- Manage the worship ministry budget, including purchasing music, equipment, and resources.
- Organize and maintain worship materials, chord charts, and other resources.
- Ensure all copyright and licensing requirements (e.g., CCLI) are met.
- Special Events:

- Plan and lead worship for special services, such as Christmas, Easter, weddings, funerals, and church-wide events.
- Organize community worship nights or outreach events to engage the congregation and the broader community.
- Associate Pastor Role:

- Oversee various ministries and small groups by providing leadership.
- Organize community worship nights or outreach events to engage the congregation and broader community.
- Participate in staff meetings and provide regular updates on ministry progress.
Qualifications
- Spiritual Requirements:
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal relationship with Him.
- Demonstrates a heart for worship and a passion for leading others in worship.
- Agreement with the church’s statement of faith and core values.
- Education and Experience:

- Ministry/Seminary/Bible College degree preferred but not required.
- Previous experience leading worship in a church or similar setting.
- Proficient in playing an instrument (e.g., guitar, piano) and leading vocals.
- Skills:
-
- Strong vocal and musical abilities with a deep understanding of various worship styles.
- Knowledge of worship technology, including sound systems, Clicks and Tracks, ProPresenter, Planning Center.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and the congregation.
