This call is for a full-time position and shall include preaching at all worship services.

The formal duties and responsibilities of your call are spelled out in the Aurdal Constitution and Bylaws. Following is a list of responsibilities:

1. Worship – Lead worship, administer Holy Communion and officiate at baptisms, weddings, funerals.
2. Pastoral Care – Regular visitation to members, shut-ins, visitors, hospital and crisis situations and connect with other congregations. Provide spiritual care and counseling upon request.
3. Congregational Leadership – Provide leadership to the church council and other standing committees, lead adult bible study, prayer groups, support groups, seminars, retreats and other church events.
4. Administrative –Manage church office staff and assist with bulletins, newsletters and general church duties as needed. Maintain regular office hours. Support mission and outreach opportunities.
5. Youth – Promote Christian education and opportunities for youth, such as confirmation classes, communion instruction and youth activities.
6. Other duties as they arise.

Aurdal Lutheran will extend a compensation package, including base salary, health insurance-single, housing allowance (provide a parsonage), 100% social security and retirement.
